Get money from the government.  Small Businesses can get money from the government.  Grants are available.  Check out Grants.gov and find grants that you may be eligible to receive.  It may help to find a good grant writer to help you apply, but you can do it yourself.

Northeast Kentucky Small Business Awards

It has been a while since I have written anything in my blog.  I really haven’t had anything worth-while to say.  I’ve finally found something to share.

I had the privilege of attending the NEKYSBA breakfast again this year.  It is a tremendous rush to see all of the people that keep their small towns booming with business.  Morehead State University provides a great service to the local area, and by awarding small business and small business owners once a year, helps keep spirits high.  Our economy will be just fine as long as our local small business owners keep their heads up and continue to grow their businesses. Visit the NEKYSBA web site for more information.

Busy Work

Running a small business on top of having a full-time job and a family is very stressful.  You have very little time for a life of your own.  When you make time, you feel guilty about it.  Being organized is the most effective way to juggle a hectic life.  Schedule your work and leave some free time for yourself.

Link Exchange

In an earlier post I spoke about Networking.  It is so vital to the small business.  Promoting one another is sometimes the only way to keep your doors open.  I’ve just recently started a link exchange for a few of my clients.  I am going to approach the rest to see if we can’t all benefit from this form of advertising.  As all web designers know, the more links to your site from other web sites greatly increases your search results on many of the search engines.  I will fill you in on the change in traffic to our pages after a while.
